Exmoor National Park is a walkers, horse riders and motorists delight, with 600 miles of public footpaths, bridleways and byways traversing farmland, over open moor, dropping in to hidden combes, where dappled sunshine glances through the ancient oak woods to dance on bolder strewn sparkling streams. Exmoor National Park is a Somerset beauty extending over the county border into delightful Devon.

Exmoor as a geographical tourism destination, stretches from the Quantock hills to 4 miles of golden sand on Woolacombe and Putsborough's blue flag beach. To the north Exmoor borders the Bristol Channel stretching round the north Devon coastline to Barnstaple and Bideford.
To the south Dulverton, South Molton and Tiverton, east over the Brendon hills ridge way, down to Wilveliscombe, stretching almost to Taunton.

Minehead is the main seaside resort, a clean affluent seaside town, overflowing with flowers and visitors during the Summer holidays. Minehead nestles at the foot of Exmoor and borders the Severn Sea. A large holiday park occupies one end of Minehead seafront, adjacent to the beach and Minehead golf course. A multitude of places to visit await. Minehead main attraction is the award-winning West Somerset Steam Railway Station, hop aboard to steam past Dunster beach to Washford, Watchet, Stogumber, Crowcombe and Bishops Lydeard.

All of historic Dunster village will delight the eye ....Dunster is the quintessential perfect English village. Beautiful Exmoor cottages and cobbled footpaths lead you to Dunster Castle, Dunster Yarn Market, Dunster Deer Park, explore the Avill Valley up to Snowdrop Valley. walk on to Grabbist to find the Giant's Chair. Nearby are the villages of Wootton Courtenay and Timberscombe.

Exmoor's moorland villages are Exford, Withypool, Winsford, Simonsbath, Wheddon Cross and Withypool. Each has a inn or hotel of good repute. Scattered across Exmoor are hidden farmhouses, welcoming B&B's and good quality self catering cottages in peaceful locations, many have superb views, even hot tubs and swimming pools.

Dulverton is a charming unspoilt upmarket town. Dulverton is renowned for interesting shops and excellent restaruants. The Ex Valley offers a wonderful riverside from drive from Dulverton from Tiverton passing Oakford, Brushford and Exbridge. Nearby is the little Devon town of Bampton which often wins awards for its summer floral displays.

The Brendon Hills are a pastoral joy... the rolling hills hide scattered villages and hamlets. Luxborough, Monksilver, Roadwater, Upton, Brompton Regis, Morebath, Skilgate, nearby are the West Somerset towns of Wilveliscombe and Williton.

The Quantock hills stretch from Taunton to Kilve offer walks galore and wonderful views over St Auderies Bay. Nestling the foot of the Quantocks are the villages of Bicknowler, Crowcombe, Stogumber.

The ancient sea port of Watchet and Blue Anchor Bay are on the Somerset coast. To the west of Minehead are the picture book perfect National Trust villages of Selworthy, Allerford, Bossington, Horner, Luccombe, all are set in picturesque Porlock Vale.

The villages of Porlock and Porlock Weir are lovely and surrounded by wonderful coastal, woodland and moorland walks which implore you to explore further. Watch the sun rise or set on top of Dunkery Beacon absorb the glorious 360% view below... heaven on Earth. Dunkery is the highest most accessible viewpoint in southwest England.

The wonderful drive via Porlock Hill and County Gate to Lynmouth offers breathtaking views over sea and moor. Don't miss Exmoor's Brendon Valley... wild and wonderful Lorna Doone country, stay in Brendon, Malmsmeet or Rockford and visit little Oare church.

Born out of an idea, when desperate to fill own empty accommodation during the foot and mouth period. A late-availability page followed in 2002, which then turned into a website in its own right... Next4weeks which has been revamped 3 times in 5 years, is now a content managed website. Next4weeks still works to my original basic design, but is now better looking, searchable and open to all advertisers on request.

A revamped Exmoor Accommodation won South West Tourism Website of the Year in 2003. Exmoor Accommodation has been revamped twice since.
